We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new subsidiary in the Federal Republic of Brazil.

 

1. Purpose of establishing the subsidiary

With the vision of “reducing the world’s sad experiences” and the mission of “maximizing the ability of everyone involved in safety with intelligence brought by computer science”, our company has been working on developing solutions to reduce crime in the world. To date, we have developed a crime prediction system, CRIME NABI, based on our crime prediction algorithms, including highly accurate and fast proprietary methods, and have provided its services to police and government agencies.

We have recently established a subsidiary in the Federal Republic of Brazil to support the introduction of our products to the police and government agencies in the country, where there is a great need to address public security issues.

3. Future outlook

CRIME NABI, our crime forecasting system, has been utilized by the Brazilian police to date and has achieved a remarkable reduction in the crime rate. The system has attracted many expectations in response to strong demand for improved public safety in the Latin American region. To meet these expectations, we have established a subsidiary. We believe that by further refining our technology and services and carefully providing them to our clients, we will be able to further contribute to the strengthening of public security in the Latin American region. We are committed to further deepening our cooperation with public security officials and working towards the realization of security and peace in our communities.

We began working on “improving public safety,” one

of the social issues in Brazil, in 2018, and since that time we have set a goal of solving the issue by providing digital solutions linked to IT and AI. Many countries in Latin America, including Brazil and Mexico, are still experiencing a large number of crimes, and many countries are in need of urgent countermeasures. While some point out that we will not be able to solve the fundamental problem unless we rethink social structure and education, reducing crime even slightly through the use of technology will directly lead to “reducing the sadness of the world’s experience. We have been involved in the business of Singular Perturbations since 2022 and will establish a Brazilian subsidiary in October 2023. Our mission is to help improve public safety with our unique crime prediction algorithm, and our team will continue to work together to promote our business.

We, Singular Perturbations, have been developing crime prediction technology and tools based on it to support the work of public safety officials since our foundation in 2017, and since 2022 we have been working to improve public safety in Latin America, including Brazil. In particular, our crime prediction system, CRIME NABI, has been used by the police to achieve a remarkable reduction in crime. Despite the fact that the effectiveness of crime analysis in improving operational efficiency has been proven worldwide, there are still challenges in terms of structure and education for public safety officials in the field to adopt the technology, and its use remains limited.

Our technology makes it easy for anyone to achieve a high degree of data-driven security efficiency. We believe that this will at the very least contribute to a reduction in crime and directly contribute to “reducing the sadness of the world experience”. This is an important step and part of our mission to make this belief a reality with a strong team in Brazil. The Latin American region is home to many of the world’s top-ranked dangerous cities, and the ripple effects of resolving security issues in the region are expected to be significant.
